Hope Gas joined Mountaineer Food Bank at their Gassaway warehouse on Thursday, February 29 for a check presentation and volunteer event.
This collaboration with Hope Gas marks 125 years of service. In honor of this significant milestone, Hope Gas has demonstrated exceptional generosity by contributing $125,000 as a matching gift to MFB on Giving Tuesday. But their commitment goes beyond monetary support—Hope Gas also pledged 125 hours of volunteer service through September 2024.
Morgan O’Brien, CEO at Hope Gas, expressed the company’s dedication to making a positive impact on West Virginia communities, saying, “Our team proudly serves our customers and supports our communities every day. This donation, in honor of the legacy of caring by 125 years of Hope Gas employees, is a demonstration of our efforts to combat food insecurity for families in West Virginia.”
Hope Gas’s contribution directly aligns with Mountaineer Food Bank’s mission to end hunger in West Virginia. Breanna George, Chief of Development at Mountaineer Food Bank, expressed her gratitude, saying, “We are thrilled to celebrate Hope Gas’s 125-year anniversary and extend our heartfelt gratitude for their continued partnership. Their significant donation and volunteer commitment align perfectly with our mission.”
“Mountaineer Food Bank extends their deepest appreciation to Hope Gas for their longstanding commitment to volunteering and donating, supporting hungry neighbors in West Virginia,” said Chad Morrison, MFB’s CEO.
