The first Gassaway Food Truck Festival will be held in the downtown area this Thursday – Saturday, May 2-4 beginning at 11:00 a.m. daily. The event is hosted by Bigfoot Braxxie’s Bikes in conjunction with the upcoming Gassaway Days Celebration.
In addition to food vendors throughout town, the dedication for fallen Gassaway Police Chief Ord Thompson’s memorial will get underway at the City National Branch location on Elk Street at 2:00 p.m. A reception at the Depot will follow.
There will also be an Open Mic and Bluegrass band with live music beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Bigfoot Braxxie’s Bikes on Elk Street.
On Saturday, 20+ arts and crafts, as well as farmers market vendors will be set up at the Depot on Saturday. They will open for business at 8:00 a.m.
Throughout the weekend, attendees can sample a host of great foods from the many food trucks scattered throughout the city. Those scheduled to participate include Gil’s Pit Beet, Sister’s Hibachi, Jimmy Z’s, Z-Man’s BBQ, Jo Jo’s Tacos, Rollin’ with Mamma D, Gringo’s Burritos, Republic Rosting Coffee, and Tripple B Eatery.
