Freaky Friday coming to Landmark Studio

Lights, camera, action! Landmark Youth Theatre Ensemble (LYTE) is proud to present their upcoming musical extravaganza, Freaky Friday. Based on the novel Freak Friday by Mary Rogers and the Disney films.

Theatre goers are encouraged to mark their calendars for an unforgettable experience on March 15, 16, and 21-23. Show time is 7:30 pm nightly.

“Freaky Friday is not just a musical; it’s an opportunity for passionate and enthusiastic youth to come together, regardless of their experience or grade level. This show promises to be a celebration of talent, collaboration, and the magic that happens when diverse individuals unite under the spotlight,” says Director Becky Conrad

Step into a world where the ultra-organized clashes with the spontaneously carefree… Freaky Friday revolves around the magical twist that transforms the lives of an overachieving mother and her spirited teenage daughter. When their worlds collide in a body-swapping escapade, they find themselves navigating through a day of hilarious chaos.

With just one day to set things right, the duo masquerades as each other, leading to a series of comical misadventures. As they grapple with the challenges of stepping into each other’s shoes, Katherine (Chloe Cummings) and Ellie (Talula Hoover) uncover the true power of love and the unbreakable bond between a mother and daughter.

This musical is not just about laughter; it’s a poignant exploration of understanding and appreciation. The heartfelt and hilarious adaptation of the new Disney movie takes the audience on a rollercoaster of emotions. Through the laughter and the tears, Freaky Friday delivers a powerful message about the strength of familial bonds and the magic that can be found in unexpected places.

Don’t miss the chance to witness this enchanting spectacle and, whether you’re a seasoned theatre enthusiast or a first-time attendee, Freaky Friday promises an evening of entertainment that transcends age and experience. “Come and join us for an unforgettable theatrical journey,” adds Conrad.
