Timothy S. “Tim” Cutlip
Timothy S. “Tim” Cutlip, 55, of Bridgeport, WV and formerly Fairmont, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was born in Fairmont on December 5, 1967, a son of Harry and Jeanette Cutlip of Elkins.
Tim was a 1986 graduate of Fairmont Senior High School. He loved getting together with his classmates and was still the “class clown.”
Tim married his high school sweetheart, Barbara “Fritz” Thorne Cutlip on May 26, 1990. He is also survived by two brothers: Mike Cutlip (Chris) of Jane Lew, and Steve Cutlip of Fairmont; four sisters-in-law that he loved as sisters: Nick Conrad (Sonnyman) of Rivesville, Penny Blackshire of Barrackville, Lori Tennant (John) of Barrackville, and Wendy Cutlip Parks of Fairmont; his nieces and nephews that he loved as his own: Matt Cutlip of Rosemont, Michael Rus of Bridgeport, Ashley Lewis (Hunter) of Fairmont, Adam Cutlip of Barrackville, Brandon Conrad (Amber) of Rivesville, Gabbi Conrad of Rivesville, Les Blackshire of Fairmont, KK Toothman (Billy) of Barrackville, Haley Swiger (Karl) of Barrackville, and Sammi Tennant of Barrackville; great nieces and nephews: Sierra, Lilly, Von, Locklin, and Gracelin Cutlip, Ariel “Nug” Toothman, Gracie Swiger, and Presley Conrad; and his friends Katybug Gibson “Gibby,” and Jennifer Lewis (Dewayne) and their daughter Bristol who he considered his adopted daughters. Tim was loved and considered family by many and he never met a stranger.
Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents: Hazel Campbell, Earnest Campbell, Lola “Dodie” and Von Cutlip; his beloved mother-in-law Orpha Thorne; and his brother-in-law Scott Blackshire.
Tim worked at Swansons Plating and Babcock Lumber. He was co-owner of Fritz’s Rugrats and all the kids loved “Mr. Tim.” Tim loved Bud Light, music and writing songs, guns, and Harleys.
A Celebration of Tim’s Life was held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 12 Noon to 5pm at the White Front Tavern 4971 George Washington Hwy Grafton, WV. In honor of Tim guests were welcome to ride their Harley or wear their favorite Harley shirt.

Randolph Ira Byerly
Randolph Ira Byerly, age 72, of Old Turnpike Road, died June 22, 2023, at the United Hospital Center. Bridgeport, West Virginia.
He was born on June 9, 1951 in Lykens Twp., PA the son of the late Mark and Grace (Hoffman) Byerly.
Randy was married to Emma (Moore) Byerly for 51 years.
He was a graduate of Halifax High School class of 1969 and attended Shippensburg University. He retired from Miller Pipeline and previously worked for Hahn Contracting. He had been the owner operator at BDI Services and continued to run Byerly Farms. Randy was a former coach with the Halifax Girl’s Softball League.
Randy was a gifted musician who played most notably with Penn Central Rock n’ Roll and a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Erique (Frank) Klinger and son Matthew (Sherry) Byerly, Grandchildren Grace, Grant, Owen, and Landon Klinger, and Faith, Hope, and Mark Byerly Great- granddaughters Camryn and Scarlet, siblings James (Mun-Hui) Byerly, Anne Hawk and her late husband, Gary, Kathy (Dave) Reisch, and Joanne (Dean) Staley, Sister-in-Law Star Emery and her late husband, Steve, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
There was a viewing held at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes Ltd., 103 West Main Street, Elizabethville, PA 17023 on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 10-11 AM. A time of sharing started at 11 AM. Burial followed the sharing time at Enders Cemetery, Halifax, PA.

Mary Wilma Mathen
Mary Wilma Matheny, 89 of West Columbia, formerly of Webster Springs, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Lakin Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born July 27, 1933 in Akron, Ohio to the late John B. and Lemma Johnson Matheny. She was the last survivor in her immediate family, being preceded in death by all her siblings.
Graveside Services to celebrate Mary’s life were held on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Union Cemetery, Parcoal, with Pastor Butch Rose officiating.

Gretchen Ann Kizer-Smith
Gretchen Ann Kizer-Smith, 56, of Frametown passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023.
She was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on September 30, 1966.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Jeremiah Smith.
Gretchen was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her home and her animals. She loved nature and watching the deer, squirrels and the critters around her house. She also liked to read. She will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish her memories are her son, J.J. Smith and fiancée, Angel Talbert; grandchildren, Jeremiah Smith and Natasha Meroshoff; companion of 10 years, Kenny Rollyson; two sisters and one brother.
In keeping with her wishes Gretchen will be cremated and no services will be held.

Joella Lynn Clay
Joella Lynn Clay, 67, passed away on June 29, 2023 at WV Caring Hospice House, Elkins, WV.
She was born on March 7, 1956, in Sutton, WV the daughter of the late Bryan & Mary Lou Swick Mullins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Bryan Mullins.
Joella was a Caregiver for WV Aging and a Baptist by faith.
She is survived by her companion, Nathan Rifenburg; sons, Ron Clay of Oregon, Joseph Lowther of Gassaway; brother, John Edward Benedict of Sutton; sister, Louella Elaine Clay of Sutton; grandchildren, Abby, Jaden.
Upon request the body will be cremated.

Jackie Earl Bleigh
Jackie Earl Bleigh, 75, of Crawford, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
Jackie was born in Gassaway on June 8, 1948, a son of the late James Edward and Bernice A. Knicely Bleigh. In addition to his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Marie Thompson Bleigh; three brothers: Terry, Harold, and Sherill “Shorty” Bleigh; and one sister, Jeannie Bleigh-Chumney.
Jackie is survived by three children: Connie Barnette and companion, Rob Bowyer, of Roanoke, Donna Hall and husband, Randy, of Walkersville, and David Bleigh and companion, Jennifer Riffle, of Crawford; seven grandchildren: Cody Bleigh and wife, Ashley, Preston Barnette, Sara Bleigh, Nick Riffle, Tyler Riffle, Christopher Hall, and Aaron Hall; four great-grandchildren: Raylynn Bleigh, Brantley Bleigh, Bailee Bleigh, and Brody Bleigh; one brother, Charles Bleigh and wife, Sharon, of Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews.
Jackie worked as a Laborer at the Brick Plant in Weston and Bowyer Logging for a number of years. He retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways District 7 Maintenance Division after 42 years of employment. Jackie was a Christian by faith and enjoyed working on his farm, gardening, and watching westerns. Jackie’s family meant everything to him. His most treasured moments were spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Jackie to Wimer Cemetery and mailed to c/o Imogene Wimer, 5 Straight Fork, Crawford, WV 26343.
Family and friends gathered at Clutter Funeral Home-Alkire Chapel located at 190 Wildcat Rd. in Ireland from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. on Monday, July, 3, 2023. A Celebration of Life Service began at 12 p.m. on Monday in the Alkire Funeral Chapel with Pastor Earl Cayton officiating. A Private Inurnment was held at a later date at Wimer Cemetery in Rock Cave.

Patricia Dale Selman
Patricia Dale Selman, of Cowen, passed away Friday, June 30, 2023 following a brief illness. She was born May 11, 1942 in Weston, WV.
Patricia worked at Dr. Gray’s office, made clothes and was a member of the CVFD Ladies Auxiliary in her earlier years, but was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed being with and taking care of family, sewing, quilting, crocheting, gardening, canning and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Bragg and Thelma (Perkins) Bragg, sister, Sheila Perrine and brother, Donald Bragg.
Survived by her husband of 60 years Olen Selman, children, Timothy Selman (Kimberly) and Tammy Skidmore (Rodney), brothers, Dave Bragg (Juanita), Jim Bragg (Bonnie), Rick Bragg, John Bragg (Debbie) , sisters, Ann Hawkins (Bill), Anita Armentrout (Barry), Debbie Stanley, brother in law, Alfred Perrine, grandchildren, Timothy and Dallas Selman, Jessica Fleming, great-grandchildren, Laiden, Laci and Lillian Fleming and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Patricia was the sweetest person with a beautiful smile that was kind to everyone and loved by everyone. Precious daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed. Fly high our angel, free of pain and worry and surrounded by loved ones gone before.
Service will be held at 8:00pm Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00pm until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Patricia’s wishes for cremation will then be honored.

Tracy Junior Radcliffe
Tracy Junior Radcliffe, 70, of Craigsville passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Summersville Healthcare Center, Summersville.
He was born February 17, 1953 in Sutton, WV the son of the late Edward Tracy Radcliffe, Sr. & Beulah Dean Richardson Radcliffe Bragg. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Radcliffe; brothers, Ricky Allen Radcliffe, Andy Radcliffe; sister, Sue Coffman.
Junior was a Bricklayer and a member of the United Bricklayers Union.
He is survived by his companion, June Radcliffe; son, Tracy Radcliffe (Traci) of Clendenin; step son, Lester Barnhouse of Craigsville; brothers, Rob Radcliffe of Craigsville, Douglas Radcliffe of Summersville; sisters, Kandy Coffman of Craigsville, Sherry Kirk, Marilyn Allen both of Newark, OH, Rose Surratt of Beckley; grandchildren, Clayton Radcliffe, Chloie Radcliffe, Mason Radcliffe, Hunter Radcliffe, Keshia Radcliffe; great grandchild, Zuri.
Upon his request the body will be cremated.
