Lois Lane Luzader
Lois Lane Luzader, 60, of Buckhannon, WV passed away on December 5, 2023. She was born in Sutton, WV on May 23, 1963, to parents William and Erma (Bosley) Luzader.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William P. Luzader, Jr and Michael Luzader; and granddaughter, Alyssa Nicole Wells.
Surviving are two children; Brandy Hardman and companion, Mark Wells of Buckhannon, WV, and Bryan Hardman of Buckhannon, WV; brother, Larry Luzader and wife Sandy of Canton, OH; sisters, Ruth Dodds of Clarksburg, WV, Marcella Catron of North Carolina and Betty Peek and partner of 24-years, Howard Hathaway of Florida; 4-grandchildren, Zachary Barcus and fiance, Mary Nida of Junior, WV, Caleb Barcus and companion, Paige Tenney of Buckhannon, WV, Jace Hardman and Aniyah Hardman of Buckhannon, WV; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Service was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Stockert Funeral Home, Flatwoods, WV. Visitation was from 11-1 before the service. Final resting place was at Dusk Camp United Methodist Cemetery, Dusk Camp, WV.

Vet Roscoe “Junior” May, Jr.
Roscoe “Junior” May, Jr of Bergoo, WV passed away on December 1, 2023 at his home. He was born January 13, 1944 in Neon, Kentucky, to the late Roscoe and Elsie Peters May.
Junior served in the US Army from 1966-1968 then pursued work in mining and logging. He enjoyed playing Poker and spending time with family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Tommy May and sister Shirley Young. Junior is survived by his three daughters Debbie (Dave) Dorsey, Carol (Joe) Vasquez and Connie (Shawn) Dunlap. He is also survived by many grandchildren: Timothy (Marsha) Flint, Elizabeth (Alex) Barnes, Alishia (Gavin) Vazquez, Christina (Bradley) Vasquez, Brianna Simpson. Along with several great-grandchildren: Archie, Hailey, Izzy, Keegan and Maggie.
The following siblings are surviving: brothers Bill, and Hank; sisters Rachel and Susan May; numerous nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends to mourn his passing.
A celebration of his life was held at Bergoo Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 1-3PM. Friends joined the family for a meal while celebrating his life.

Beverly Sue Thomack
Beverly Sue Thomack, 65 of Webster Springs passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston. She was born January 29, 1958 in Winchester, VA to the late Arthur E. Campbell and Nellie Tichner Green, who survives.
Bev enjoyed camping down Replete and playing darts and horseshoes. She loved taking care of her children and grandchildren and just spending time with her family.
In addition to her biological father she was preceded in death by her husband Carl J Thomack; daddy Harold Junior Beale; brothers Tom Tichner and Buddy Campbell; grandsons Austin Hart and Kyle Gilles; niece Summer Smith; and nephews John Campbell and Banjamin Rogers.
She is survived by her mother; sons Chris (Sheila), Jon (Cindy), Dakota, Michael, Blaine, and Jeffrey Thomack; daughters Tina (Nathan) Morris and Autumn Thomack (companion Brandon); brother Patrick (Lupe) Wolfe, Sr.; sister Kathy (Allen) Boggs; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she truly loved; and several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services to celebrate Bev’s life was held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs with Pastor Curt Davis officiating. Friends joined the family for visitation one hour prior to service time at the Funeral Home.

Elaine Ruth “Ruthie” Cassell
Elaine Ruth “Ruthie” Cassell, 61, of Sutton passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, with her cousin, Pat, by her side, at CAMC Memorial, Charleston, WV after a short illness.
She was born in Gassaway on February 17, 1962, to Harry Dorn Nettles of Gassaway and the late Sharon Rose Given Nettles.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Vickie Lynn Nettles.
Ruthie was a secretary for several companies including Nettles Equipment at Servia and Goldfarb Lighting Company in Charleston. She enjoyed working around her father’s garage with him. She and her dad also took short trips in his Ranchero. Her favorite pastime was talking on her cell and house phones. One of the good memories that was shared by her family was that occasionally her talking on the phone would interfere with her dad watching the TV, but her cousin, Pat, figured out how to handle that. He would keep turning the volume up louder and louder until she went to her bedroom to talk. Another positive memory of her was at the end of her life. She would see Pat when he came to the hospital and would say, “Pat, are you listening? “or “Pat, are you paying attention to what I’m saying?” or “Pat, did you hear what I said?” Her family was thankful that she could still remember everyone in her last few days. She liked to come to town in her car. She also enjoyed watching all kinds of shows on the television. In her last few months, she lived at her cousin’s house, and she would watch the horses on his farm. She loved to visit with her cousin, Anita, who came to see her every day.
Left to cherish her memories are her father, Harry Dorn Nettles and his companion of 40 plus years, Velma James; and her close cousins, Patrick Nettles, Brent Nettles, and Anita Miller.
Ruthie’s funeral was 1 P.M. Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Reverend Ray Teets officiating.
Burial followed in the Nettles Family Cemetery, Elmira.
Her visitation for family and friends was two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Braxton County Animal Shelter, 10 Animal Shelter Lane, Sutton, WV.

Deanna Lynn Hall
Deanna Lynn Hall, better known as Dianna, 63, of Ivydale, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, after a long illness.
She was born February 24, 1960, in Ivydale, WV. Dianna had a passion for music and loved playing her guitar and writing songs. Earlier in her life she was a member of a local bluegrass band. She had a strong faith and belief in God. Now she is playing beautiful harmony in His presence along with the angels she went to meet. She loved her family, and her family is left with a lifetime of memories with her.
Dianna was the late daughter of Frank Stacy Coen and Lenoris Jean Queen Coen. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Coen and her late husband of 30 years, Rodney Hall.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving daughter, Felichea (Jason) Smith of Ivydale; her dearly adored grandchildren, Austin, Shayla, and Kaylee Smith all of Ivydale; sisters, Norma (Terry) Davis of Monroe, North Carolina, Paula Metheny of Chloe, Phyllis Tanner and Reva Coen both of Ivydale, Penny (Dean) Stumbo of Summersville and Debbie (Larry) Davis of Gilmer County. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who dearly loved her. She will be missed by all.
Dianna’s funeral was 12 Noon on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway.
Her burial followed in the Ramsey-Hall Cemetery, Glendon.
Visitation for family and friends was 10 A.M. to 12 Noon on Monday at the funeral home.

Charlsie Mae Hamrick
Charlsie Mae Hamrick, 82 of Webster Springs passed away Friday, December 8, 2023. Charlsie was born September 11, 1941 in Bergoo. Preceding her in death were her husband, Okey E. Hamrick; her mother, Anna J. Fisher Hamrick; children; Arnold H. Lloyd, William L. Lloyd, Mary Lloyd and Terry Trussel who she thought of as a son in law.
Charlsie loved working puzzles, going shopping, watching TV and spending time with her friends and family.
Surviving are her son, David Lloyd, Larry Lloyd and Hobert Hamrick; daughters, Linda (Max) Lowther, Rosa (George) Quinn, Anna Lloyd, Sandra (Brian) Eubank and Shirley (Mike) Lough; grandchildren, Lorena Quinn, Kimberly Quinn, Mikaela (Brandon) Taylor, Ashley (Justine) Spittler, Matthew Hamrick, Mike Lough and Julie Lough; great grandchildren, Harley Ritchie and Kiara Taylor and also a special nephew, Steven Provoznik.
Service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs with Pastor Larry Cochran officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowland Cemetery, Bergoo. Friends may join the family for visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Manford “Junior” Henline
Manford “Junior” Henline of Summersville passed away on December 6, 2023 at WVU Hospital Ruby Memorial. He was born October 17, 1938 in Bolair to the late Riley Cletis and Lena Suzette Adamy Henline.
Junior was a retired coal miner. He enjoyed working on his cars and loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Marsha Johnson; brothers Cletis Allen Henline and Gary Henline; daughter Debra Lynn Henline; and son Jeffery Jerome Henline.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Sandra Cool Henline; sons Bradley (Polly) Henline of Diana and Michael (Pammy) Henline of Cowen; brother Sanford (Elsie) Henline of Richwood; sisters Mary (Rick) Bennett of Webster Springs and Alice (James) Varner of Ohio; grandchildren Tiffany Henline, Joshua (Fallon) Henline, Bradley Andrew Henline, Brandon (Chloe) Henline, Kelsi (Timmy) Estep, Michaela (David) Howard, and Taylor (Jacob) Salisbury; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services to celebrate Junior’s life were held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Larry Cochran officiating. Interment followed in McAvoy Cemetery. Friends joined the family for visitation two hours prior to service time at the Funeral Home.

Guy Hosey, III
Guy Hosey, III 75 of Kesslers Cross Lanes passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at his home. He was born August 31, 1948 in Buckhannon to the late Guy “Bubby” and Marjorie Emogene Ware Hosey.
Guy played football for and was a graduate of Webster Springs High School; was a United State Marine Veteran serving 19 months in Vietnam; and was a pipefitter and member of the Pipefitter’s Local 625 in Charleston. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sonja Hosey.
He is survived by the mother of his children Melba Mason Clay; daughter Danielle Hanks; sons Matthew Hosey and James Nicholas; sister Judith (Ed) Haymond; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several extended family and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home with Pastor Bennie Cowger officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Miller Cemetery, Webster Springs.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Shriners Hospital for Children 2900 Rocky Point Drive ,Tampa, FL 33607.
