Patricia “Trish” Hall Moore and Ruth Ellen Mooney have reached a milestone in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Both are members of the Elk River Chapter in Gassaway, WV, and have been DAR members for fifty years. The ladies were honored at the West Virginia State DAR Conference in Canaan Valley Resort recently.
Trish is a charter member of the Elk River Chapter and joined with her mother, Mary Janice Hall of Frametown when the chapter was founded in 1972. Trish is currently the Vice Regent of Elk River Chapter.
Ruth became a member of DAR when she joined the Princess Aracoma Chapter in Logan, WV, and later transferred to the Elk River Chapter when her family moved to Sutton. Ruth is currently the Regent of the Elk River Chapter.
Trish and Ruth have a total of 100 years of experience, knowledge and dedication to the DAR. Congratulations!
