The Burnsville Volunteer Fire Department recently received a $5,000 donation from the TC Energy Foundation. This the second year the department has received a grant from the organization in support of the department’s fundraising effort for a multi-use side-by-side.
The equipment will be used for search and rescue efforts and to aid in suppressing wild fires. It will be equipped with initial medical care and patient stabilization capabilities as well as fire abatement tools and accessories to assist challenging wildfire locations.
Portions of previous fundraising efforts have been allocated to this initiative over the last two years. “The TC Energy Foundation awards have allowed us to achieve our financial objective for this project and we are exceeding grateful to this organization and its grant selectors for their recognition of our need and the Burnsville VFD’s commitment to our customers,” said Chief Summers.
