The Town of Flatwoods is encouraging area residents to join them for a 4th of July Celebration on Monday, July 4th at the Flatwoods Municipal Building.
The festivities will start at 7:00 P.M. There will be free give-a-ways, music by the Kowboyz, and a fireworks display.

Kids Freedom Fishing event will be held at Burnsville Dam
Registration is free and will start at 11:00 A.M. Those wishing to participate are encouraged to bring their own bucket to keep fish!
There will be a trophy and a gift card for the first-place winner. Second and third place winners will receive a trophy. There will be prizes for all entries in age groups three through five, six through eight, nine through eleven, and twelve through fourteen.
