The public is invited to join the Healthy Grandfamilies weekly program in partnership with Braxton County Schools, WVU Extension Services, and Braxton Healthy Families Healthy Children Coalition.
This free community program will be held on Thursday, February 22nd, 29th, Thursday, March 7th, 21st, and 28th, Thursday, April 11th, 18th and 25th, and on Thursday, May 2nd from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Braxton County Board Office, 98 Carter Braxton Drive Sutton, WV 26601.
What can this program do for you? Gain knowledge from experts, through six group discussion sessions, on such topics as legal and school issues, stress management, family relationships, grandparent self-care, preparing healthy meals, parenting, social media, communicating with health care providers, and much more. You can also receive individual follow-up services linking you with supportive program benefits to help you deal with specific challenges you might be facing as a grandparent raising a grandchild.
