Car & Motorcycle Show to Benefit West Virginia Caring

By Fernando Rodriguez
All the spots at the parking lot of Luzaders 3 Girls Diner were quickly occupied by cars, trucks, hot rods, rat rods, motorcycles, trikes, and choppers of all models, ages, colors, and varying degrees of customization for the first show sponsored by Shannon & Greg Luzader, owners of the Luzaders 3 Girls Diner and the Forged Alliance Riding Club. The proceeds went to benefit West Virginia Caring, now in their 40th year of providing hospice and palliative care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year to those in need.
The beautiful sunny day was perfect for getting close and intimate with the many shiny vehicles and bikes that showed up for the show. It was amazing to see the incredible amount of effort the owners of the vehicles invest to restore, preserve, and show off their gleaming paint jobs, chromed engines, and custom accessories. Quite a few proud owners were seen constantly buffing the cars to keep them clean and shiny while eager to answer questions about their prized possessions. Food and beverage were available inside the diner and outside by a donation hot dog stand. In addition to the awards for the best of vehicles in different categories, the attendees were able to vote for their favorite drive or ride for an additional award.
The Braxton Kowboyz’ Larry Jones, Robert Jarrett, and Jeni Ann belted out their songs for the crowd to enjoy. I’ve been listening to these guys for years now, and they just keep getting better and better. In addition to their repertoire, Larry and Robert always aim to please the crowd by encouraging song requests. See information below to have the Kowboyz spice up your event.
