Parsons Excavating ProvidesSafety Vests to Law Enforcement

Parsons Excavating of Gassaway has come to the aid of law enforcement officers throughout Braxton County. Rick Parsons, owner of the company recently presented professional quality life jackets to every law enforcement officer in the area.
The project is the culmination of a conversation Parsons had with Corporal David Jordan of the Sutton Detachment of the West Virginia State Police. “We recognized the need for law enforcement officers to have this type of equipment readily available in the wake of the incident that tragically claimed the life of a Gassaway Fire Fighter. When Rick heard of the project he stepped up and volunteered to sponsor the purchase. Those of us in the law enforcement community are truly grateful for his generosity and assistance as we continue to strive to serve the residents of our county,” Cpl. Jordan said.
Some of the officers that will be receiving one of over 2 dozens of the water safety vests were on hand last week for the presentation. They include (Left to Right) Shane Brown, Flatwoods Police Chief and K9 unit Breck, Aaron James, Gassaway Police Chief, WVSP CPL David Jordan, Parsons Excavating owner Rick Parsons, WVSP TPR George Jones, Braxton County Deputies Bryce Scarboro and Andrew Jordan.
