Register your child and receive a bag full of educational goodies!
Braxton County Board of Education has announced time for preschool registration. Save the date for preschool registration on Wednesday, March 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
This event is for any child that will be four years old by July 1, 2024 or any child that will be three years old by July 1, 2024, and is eligible for the Head Start Program. If a child is already in preschool and will be returning parents or guardians will not need to attend this registration. The child’s teacher will have a form for you to complete.
The following documents are required to complete the registration.
Certified State Issued Birth Certificate from the Office of Vital Statistics. (This may be ordered online at https://www.wvdhhr.org/bph/oehp/hsc/forms.htm)
- Up to date immunization record.
- Well Child Exam, signed by the physician and dated within the last 365 days.
- Proof of residency: Tax Receipt, Utility Bill, or Driver’s License.
- Proof of Income. Please bring one of the following: Income Tax Form 1040, W-2, TANF Documentation, Paycheck Stub, Unemployment Documentation, Written Statement provided by employer, SSI Documentation, Foster Care Documentation, Family Signed Declaration.
All documents must be received for enrollment determination of the child.
