Braxton County 4-H Camp Filled with Activities

Holly Gray Park was home away from home for the forty-eight 4-H members who attended Braxton County 4-H Camp June 12-16. Eighteen 4-H volunteers gave of their time and energy to provide a week of fun and educational activities.
A visit from a Healthnet helicopter and crew, STEM activities, classes, crafts, evening Council Circles, and a trip to Jackson’s Mill were highlights of the week.
4-H camp wouldn’t be possible without the support of local individuals and groups who provide funding for scholarships and activities. Braxton County 4-H members and leaders appreciate the support of Braxton County Rotary Club, Braxton/Clay Master Gardeners, Braxton County CEOS members and clubs, Braxton County 4-H All Stars, and Braxton County 4-H alumni who generously support the 4-H program.
WV 4-H focuses on developing the four “Hs” of head, heart, hands and health to enable youth to develop life skills, gain knowledge and build self-esteem and become productive adults. For more information about 4-H, contact Debbie Friend at the WVU-Braxton County Extension Office, 304-765-2809.
