WIC Program to Hold Open House

The local WIC office will be open to the public starting on August 1st. “We are so excited to begin seeing everyone in person and also, welcome new potential participants who would like to learn about the many benefits of the WIC program and our increased income guidelines,” said a representative.
To celebrate the opening, as well as National Breastfeeding Month, the WIC Program will have an Open House all week, August 1st-5th from 8-4, at their Braxton County Clinic located at 537 Enterprise Drive, Gassaway (above Pizza Hut, next to The Works Salon).
The first 25 people will receive a gift for attending and be entered into a grand prize drawing. Staff members will be on hand to answer questions about the WIC program, offering breastfeeding support, nutrition education and will have gift items for children. Current WIC participants and the public are welcome.
