Gassaway High School Alumni Banquet to return

The Gassaway Alumni Association has announced the return of their annual banquet. After a two-year hiatus, due to COVID, Gassaway High School graduates and their families will gather at the annual GHS Alumni Banquet on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at the Days Inn & Conference Center.
“We are just so pleased to be able to hold our event this year,” says GHS Alumni Association President Barbara Adams. “Since we have not had a banquet since 2019, we are looking forward to seeing all our friends and classmates who can attend.”
This years a “Special” program will commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Gassaway High School. A reflection of the school from the past years to present is being produced and will be narrated by Jared Frame. Scholarship recipients will be recognized along with a host of other activities lead by Dr. Kenna Seal, the evening’s master of ceremonies.
There will be a social hour beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the Days Inn lobby. Dinner will be served promptly at 5:00. The banquet fee will be $30.00 per person for reservations received by June 15th. The fee at the door will be $35.00.
The Menu will consist of: Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Salad, Hot Rolls, Dessert, and Beverage.
For those who travel and need hotel reservations, a special rate will be offered if they reserve rooms under the Gassaway High Alumni Banquet block when placing their reservation. For accommodations, interested individuals should contact the Day Inn front desk at 1-866-700-7284.
