Christmas Bonanza winners announced

The final task before the Citizens’ News/Braxton Democrat-Central staff, began their Christmas holiday, was the selection of the winners of the annual Christmas Bonanza contest. Thanks to the generosity and support of the participating merchants, five lucky area residents each received $50 Go-Mart gift certificates.

The five winners selected were: Misty Heater of Heaters, April Richardson of Flatwoods, Susan Williams of Frametown Jessica Short of Webster Springs and Larrry Green of Sutton.

Braxton Newspapers publisher, Ed Given, stated that, as in the past, a large number of entries were received during the contest period which encouraged local residents to shop at home. “It is always important to shop at home as locally owned businesses are the biggest contributors to our community.  We would like to thank all those who participated in the event. We congratulate the winners and thank the fine merchants and business professionals who made the sweepstakes possible, particularly Go-Mart for partnering with us in this venture,” he added.

In addition to Go-Mart, the sponsoring merchants included: West Virginia Big Foot Museum, Mountain Laurel Country Store, Peoples Bank, Family Furniture, Mid-State Chevrolet, Sutton Moose Lodge, and Little Caesars Pizza.
