To increase awareness of the hazards of intoxicated driving, members of the Sutton Detachment of the West Virginia State Police will conduct a Sobriety Checkpoint in Braxton County, on Thursday, December 12, from 6:00 PM through 12:08 PM.
The Sobriety Checkpoint will be conducted in Braxton County on WV Route 4 in the vicinity of Braxton County High School. The secondary location of this checkpoint will be on US Route 20 near Leslie Equipment in the Cowen Community of Webster County.
Motorists who wish to avoid the Sobriety Checkpoint may take an alternate route of travel.
