Sobriety Checkpoint Planned for Friday, July 26

The Sutton Detachment of the WV State Police in conjunction with the Commission on Drunk Driving Prevention will conduct a Sobriety Checkpoint in Braxton County on Friday, July 26. The purpose of the event is to prevent and deter impaired driving.
The Checkpoint will be located on WV State Route 4 and 19 near Flatwoods, in the vicinity of Braxton County High School.
The Checkpoint may be moved to an alternate location if the primary location becomes unsafe due to traffic congestion or if a hazardous arises.
The Sobriety Checkpoint will be conducted from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight on July 26.
Motorists who wish to avoid the Sobriety Checkpoint may choose to take an alternate route of travel.
