Susan Kearns of Sutton was recently named the 2024 National Elite MS Agriculture USA. Miss Agriculture USA is a national nonprofit organization that focuses on positively promoting agriculture featuring queens of all ages that promote, celebrate and educate about all the diverse aspects of agriculture.
Susan is the wife of Darian Kearns, mother of Kera and Drina, and Grandma to Lincoln and Piper. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a master’s in mathematics education.
Her agricultural interests include raising New Zealand and Californian meat rabbits. She was a 4-H member and is currently in her 20th year as a 4-H leader in Braxton County.
Susan competed in Mantua, Ohio on June 28th at the National Miss Agriculture USA competition. The competition has 8 components: AG wear, essay, speech, interview, introduction, impromptu question, formal wear, and photogenic. Susan placed 1st in five of the eight categories.
