Celebrate Independence Day with music, fireworks, and fun at the Burnsville Freedom Festival on Saturday, July 6, at the Burnsville Dam. This free family event will entertain guests of all ages.
Burnsville Docks Inc. will host their 2nd Annual Boat Decorating Contest (Judging and Boat Parade behind the marina) at 8:00 p.m. Stop by the marina any time to get a number. There will be winners selected for the most creative, most patriotic, and judge’s choice. Extra points for patriotic apparel for captain and passengers. Prizes will be awarded.
There will be a Kids Freedom Fishing Tournament. Bring your own bucket and catch the biggest fish. 1st-, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies will be awarded in each age group. There will be a Grand Prize for the overall biggest fish. Age groups are 3-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12-14. This event is sponsored by the Sutton Moose Lodge #825.
There will be a Car Show at the Burnsville Docks. There is a $10.00 registration fee. Awards will be presented for cars, trucks, and bikes. A People’s Choice, Kids Choice and Judges Choice awards will also be given. The event is sponsored by The Forged Alliance Riding Club.
There will be a Corn Hole Tournament at the Burnsville Dam. Winners will take home a trophy and half of the entry fee pot. There will be a lot more fun filled activities. The evening will conclude with fireworks. There will be free shuttle services from 12:00 p.m. until after the fireworks.
