Food Bank to Provide Meals for Children During Summer

Mountaineer Food Bank, based between Gassaway and Sutton, recently announces their sponsorship of the federally funded Summer Food Service Program.
Multiple day Parent Pick-Up Lunches are open to all children, ages 18 years and under, who would like to participate.
Meals will be served at the Burnsville Public Library and the Gassaway Train Depot/Park,
”A nutritious meal is important for children to learn, play and remain active during the summer months. Remember, Hunger Doesn’t Take a Summer Vacation!” says a MFB spokesperson. For more information about the Summer Food Service Program, please call Mountaineer Food Bank at 304-364-5518.
