Two Braxton County residents are among eleven students who have successfully completed their student teaching internships at Glenville State University and took part in Glenville State University’s December Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, December 9.
Abigail Long of Heaters, completed her student teaching in General Science (5-9) at Braxton County Middle School with Jenifer Johnson and was a Clinical Teacher of Record at Burnsville Elementary School for her Elementary Education (K-6) placement. Her GSU supervisors were Tracy Chenoweth, Dr. Ashley Kooken, and Dr. Shelly Ratliff. She is the daughter of Nancy Long of Heaters.
Chloe Walker of Sutton, completed her student teaching at Burnsville Elementary School in Elementary Education (K-6) with Jessica Vandernick and was a Clinical Teacher of Record for her Early Education (PreK-K) placement. Her GSU supervisor was Dr. Shelly Ratliff. She is the daughter of Josh and Kim Walker of Sutton.
Others who graduated in December include Nicole Bailey of Elizabeth, Josie Hill of Henderson, Kristina Lowe of Elizabeth, Mary Louise Margret Pratt of Harpers Ferry, Madison Shepherd of Daniels, Caroline Tinnel of Summersville, Olivia VanDam of Walton, Samantha Jo Hall of Arnoldsburg, and Kyra Bauer of Layton, UT.
