Deputy A.C. Jordan of the Braxton County Sheriff’s Department obtained Facebook messages from a Buckhannon man who believed he was communicating with a 14-year-old female. In the correspondence, the man, identified as Nicholas Andrew Kittle, 21, of Buckhannon, allegedly solicited the underage female for sex and other illegal acts via the internet. Kittle also is believed to have sent photographs of his private parts to the female by way of a computer.
On July 3rd, Kittle made his way to Burnsville, to meet up with the child. Deputy Jordan located Kittle in the parking lot of the 79 Motel where he was allegedly waiting for the young girl.
Based on the information gathered during his investigation, Deputy Jordan arrested Kittle on charges of Using a Computer to Seduce a minor and Traveling to Engage a Minor, both felonies. Kittle was taken to the Central Regional Jail to await arraignment.
Nicholas Kittle was arraigned before Braxton County Magistrate David Singleton on July 4 where his bond was set at $50,000 cash only. Kittle remains lodged in the Central Regional Jail awaiting additional court proceedings at press time.
