For local girls and women who have been lamenting the lack of clothing stores in the area, good news is here. A local mother and daughter duo, Sandra Greene and Cassie Wells, are opening Premzen Roe Boutique at 606 Elk Street Saturday with their grand opening set from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
The two explained why they decided to open the boutique. “We think that Braxton County needs more business, and we want to provide affordable clothing for women and young girls in the county and surrounding areas,” Greene said. “There is no place in Braxton County to buy affordable boutique style clothes.” They saw a need and decided to try to fill it.
Clothing sold in the boutique, which will range in styles for pre-teens to mature women, will range in size from Small to 4X. The owners will also try “to have everything from casual, including workout outfits, to dressy.” Not only will they sell classic dresses, but they will also strive to address the needs of everyone. Included in their merchandise will be “shorts, jeans, and swimwear of all types, including swim dresses,” Wells explained. She also emphasized that they are open to ideas from customers for items they would like to see the owners obtain for the boutique. Store hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The inside of the store has been completely remodeled, and the owners have developed a logo to go with the unusual name. Greene, who came up with the name Premzen Roe Boutique, noted that she chose it because it is unusual and she thinks probably unique. “People should definitely be able to remember it,” she said.
Wells and Greene want everyone to know that all those attending the Grand Opening who come into the shop and make a purchase on that day will have their names put in a drawing for a “goodie basket.” Jointly, they stressed, “We are looking forward to serving the people of the area and hope we’ll see many of them Saturday and in the days that follow.”
