Two Charged With Bug Ridge B & E

Two individuals are facing multiple charges following a burglary on Bug Ridge near Sutton last weekend. Braxton County Sheriff’s Deputies received a call of a possible breaking and entering at 13044 Bug Ridge Road on Saturday, January 21. The caller indicated multiple items were missing. A description of a silver Camaro type vehicle was also given to officers.
Deputy A. L. Groves went to the scene to investigate. He as assisted by Deputy A. Jordan, Deputy B. Williams and Trooper E. Clark. The officers began searching the area for a vehicle matching the description reported to 9-1-1. Deputy Groves spotted a silver Pontiac Firebird at 95 Sang Run Road with two individuals in the driveway.
When officers approached the car to investigate they saw items similar to those reported stolen from the Bug Ridge residence. Deputy Groves arrested Dusten Brice Stewart, 32, of Sutton and Dustin Joe Brantley, 22, of Birch River. After being administered their Miranda Rights, both defendants confessed to the breaking and entering in a recorded statement. They were both charged with burglary and conspiracy.
The pair were arraigned before Braxton County Magistrate David Singleton where their bond was set at $15,000.
The vehicle was impounded, and the investigation is continuing at press-time.
