Coach Matt Pritt was pleased with his team’s performance against Gilmer in their recent game. Braxton won 27-21, and their coach explained why. “The girls played a great game on Eighth Grade Night,” he said. “We shot well from the foul line but didn’t shoot as well from the field. We rebounded the ball the best we have all season and didn’t have as many turnovers.”
Once again, Rylan Criner led the Lady Knights’ defensive efforts. Criner had several rebounds and her coach said “played a great defensive game.” With 10 points, Brooklyn Paletti led the scoring. Criner added 7, Jade Chapman 4, Makenna Robinson and Aubrey Mowery 3 each.
The Lady Knights have a home game against Summersville Thursday.
