Three BCHS football players make All LKC First Team

Total of six Eagles receive conference honors

Of the six Braxton football players who were named to All-Little Kanawha Conference positions, three—Tyler Cox, Jaxson Short, and Bryce Leegan, made First Team. Braxton had two on the second team and one honorable mention. All are seniors.

Cox, a wide receiver and defensive back, had 19 receptions for 408 yards with four touchdowns,  gained 560 yards rushing and scored five rushing touchdowns during the season.

Running back and linebacker Bryce Leegan gained 850 yards on the ground and scored 10 touchdowns. At linebacker, he totaled 52 tackles, 13 for loss.

Jaxson Short, in his defensive position of linebacker, had 53 tackles with 13 of those for loss. Short also played wide receiver.

Quarterback Logan Bennett and Justin Bishop were named to the All LKC Second Team. Bishop played on the line both offensively and defensively. Andrew Brandt, a defensive back,  received Honorable Mention LKC honors.
