WV State Police to Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint

The Sutton Detachment of the West Virginia State Police in conjunction with the Commission on Drunk Driving Prevent will conduct a Sobriety Checkpoint on Friday, December 16. The purpose of the checkpoint will be to prevent and deter impaired driving.
The Sobriety Checkpoint will be located on State Route 4 in Flatwoods, in the vanity of the Braxton County High School. The exact location may be moved to an alternate site if the primary one become unsafe due to traffic congestion, hazardous or otherwise unsafe situations arise.
The checkpoint will begin at 6:00 p.m. and conclude at 12:00 midnight on the 16th.
State Police advise motorists who wish to avoid the checkpoint that they may take an alternate route of travel.
