Garavaglia Named LKC Soccer Player of the Year

Recently announced Little Kanawha Conference honors included five BCHS players from the boys’ soccer team. First-Team All-Conference honors went to Addison Grindo and Matthias Garavaglia. The 2022 LKC Player of the Year went to Garavaglia, who led the team in both goals and assists.
Garavaglia scored 33 goals and had 17 assists on the season. In points, his coach noted, he ranks high among soccer players in the state. Grindo scored 14 goals and had 14 assists.
LKC Second-Team honors went to Richard Westfall, Owen McCallister, and Nick Brown. During the season, Westfall scored 12 goals and had five assists. Brown, who as a defender isn’t expected to score many goals, had three goals and three assists. As goalie, McCallister recorded 81 saves and allowed only 13 goals to be scored against him.
