Sutton Fall Festival to Return October 1

The Sutton Fall Festival returns to Downtown Sutton, after a two-year absence because of the COVID-19 pandemic, on Saturday, October 1, 2022. The festivities will begin with the opening ceremony at 9:30 a.m. and lasting until 5:00 p.m., at which time there will be live music and axe throwing contest at the Bad Axe Bistro on Main Street.
The 2022 Sutton Fall Festival is orchestrated by Pageant Master and member of the Board of Directors of the Sutton Community Development Corporation Gary Beamer, best known for staging beauty pageants, the 2021 Town of Sutton Christmas Parade, and the Braxton County Fair.
Gary and the 2022 Sutton Fall Festival Queens will be present all day at the festival, where they will assist with the dozens of activities within the event, which will include the Kids bicycle show and other activities for kids, the Howling Hooties Puppy Pageant, the Pretty Baby Contest, the Rubber Ducky Regatta, and the Scarecrow Competition.
Many foods as well as arts and crafts vendors will make their wares available on the streets and at the Courthouse Square. In addition, the Story Booth Characters will be there to allow children to become part of their fairy tales. A face painting station will be open to decorate the children’s faces.
Other activities include: a Cornhole Tournament, sponsored by the Bad Axe Bistro, a Petting Zoo, a kids’ bike safety demonstration by the Sutton Police Department, story time with Diamond Diva at the Sutton Public Library, the Out of the Ashes Fire Show, a great Car Show, sponsored by the Sutton Moose Lodge, and the Rubber Ducky Regatta, where one can win cash prizes. Music and sound will be provided by Larry Jones and Robert Jarrett, better known as the Karaoke Kowboyz, and Josh Oldaker.
Mark your calendars! There will be many fun somethings at the 2022 Sutton Fall Festival for folks of all ages. Come out and support one of the Town of Sutton and Braxton County’s major events!
