Dorothy Mae (Street) Cunningham
Dorothy Mae (Street) Cunningham, 83, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, a believer in salvation through the work of Jesus on the cross, went home to be with The Lord Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Carl Jr and Laura, in Croton, OH.
Dorothy was born June 30th, 1939 in Rowe, Buchanon County, VA to Joseph Berry and Mary Myrtle Street.
She was preceded in death by her lovingly devoted husband Carl Dexter Cunningham, Sr, her hunting/fishing buddy/rival with whom she shared great joy in teaching their children, grandchildren and many nieces/nephews how to fish, hunt and love the outdoors through the 58 years and 9 months of their marriage.
Also preceded in death by her parents and stepfather Robert Calhoun, sisters; Lula ‘Sis’(Arvil) Roland and Virginia ‘Tom’(Ervin) Blankenship, brothers; Archie, Estill, Donald ‘Donnie’, Robert ‘Buster’(Wilma), Earl, James(Phyllis), Henry (Donna), special nephew, Ralph Blankenship and grandson Trevor Fraley.
Survived by her children: Tamera Fraley, White Sulphur Springs, WV, Carl Jr (Laura), Croton, OH and Deanna(Taizoon) Shamsher, Reynoldsburg, OH; grandchildren; Kristina (Ronald) Bigler, Karyl (James Hollingshead), Nafisa(Bryce) Kennedy, all of OH; Ali(Misty) Shamsher of TX, Tiffany Brewster and Jefferson Fraley of WV; great grandchildren; Noah, Samuel and Zoe Shamsher, Winston and Dexter Kennedy, Verity and Bella Mae, sister-in-law Faye Street, MD and many cousins, nieces and nephews, all who were well loved by her.
Funeral service were held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, September 1, 2022. Family received friends one hour prior to the service from 11:00-12:00. Burial followed at Green Hill Cemetery.

Regina Gail “Jeannie” Hosey
Regina Gail “Jeannie” Hosey, 66 of Webster Springs, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at her home. She was born October 31, 1955 in Buckhannon to the late Leonard and Wilma Hall Riffle.
Jeannie was Christian by faith and was a devoted wife and mother. She worked for Mor-for-Less in Cherry Falls for many years and became friends with so many. She enjoyed working and was an avid reader.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson Eric Chase Davis and brothers Jim and Terry Riffle.
Jeannie is survived by her loving husband, Isaac “Ike” Hosey; children Jennifer (Wayne) Jordan, Lorra (Boone) Hamrick, and Lee Hosey; sister Agnes Carpenter; grandchildren Jakob Payne, Leah Hamrick, Bryana Hughart, and Isaac Hosey; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends to mourn her passing.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday, September 4, 2022 from 6-9 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Jeannie’s life will be held on Monday, September 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Pritt officiating. Interment will follow in Big Run Cemetery, Diana.

Janet Marie (Moffatt) Tenney
Janet Marie (Moffatt) Tenney, 64, of Exchange, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 28, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born March 2, 1958 in Webster Springs, WV, the daughter of Don Bazil Moffatt, who survives, and the late Opalene Stella (Underwood) Moffatt.
Janet graduated from Webster Springs High School in 1976. She married the love of her life, Charles Tenney, on August 10, 1977. She worked for many years as the secretary for the West Virginia Association of Land Surveyors before following her husband’s call to serve the Lord in evangelism. Through this call, Janet got to see many parts of the United States and make a multitude of very close friends whom she would visit year after year. She even got the opportunity to travel to St. Lucia, Scotland and Israel.
When Janet was at home, she could likely be found in her sewing room or in the kitchen cooking. She cherished time doing both, especially with her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending as much time with her family as possible. Janet loved a house full of people, whether relatives or church family that had come from near or far.
Janet is survived by her husband of 45 years, her children Patrick (Jennifer) Tenney of Morgantown, WV and Amy (Christopher) Blount of Lost Creek, WV, three grandchildren, Morgan Tenney, Julia Blount and Kole Blount, two brothers and five sisters, mother-in-law June Tenney, sister-in-law Lola Cochran, many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Opalene Moffatt, father-in-law Ralph Tenney, brother Don Duane Moffatt and niece Kristina Swecker.
Friends joined the family for visitation on Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 5-9 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs. Funeral Services were held at 2 PM on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at the funeral home with Pastor Ryan Skidmore and Evangelist Robbie Morrison officiating. Burial followed at the Meadowland Cemetery, Bergoo, WV.

Dennis Gail “Denny” Mustoe
Dennis Gail “Denny” Mustoe, 67 of Point Mountain, Webster County, fulfilled his earthly journey and went to be with Jesus in Heaven on Friday, August 26, 2022 at UPMC in Pittsburgh, PA.
He was born September 21, 1954 at Webster Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late William J. and Anna B. Cogar Mustoe.
Denny graduated Webster Springs High School in 1972. He went on to become a bricklayer and construction worker, which he did for many years. He was an avid hunter and always enjoyed spending time with friends and family, cracking jokes and being the center of attention.
Denny’s true zeal and zest by far was telling people about the Lord, evangelizing in many of the local churches around the county. He was a member of Cherry Falls Chapel and enjoyed attending services on a regular basis. He loved spending time with his church family and studying about God’s word and promises.
Denny is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Byrd Mustoe; son Bradley “Toby” Mustoe of Curtin; stepsons Wayne and Kelly Payne of Poca and Jonny Payne of Webster Springs; sister Karen Mustoe Kinney of Parcoal; brother and sister-in-law John and Elaine Mustoe of Curtin; sister and brother-in-law Cheryl and John Hamrick of Webster Springs; sister-in-law Bonnie Ryherd of AZ; grandchildren, Emma, Caitlynn, and Silas Mustoe of Webster Springs, Jakob Payne of Glenville, Abigail Payne of Morgantown, and Phoenix and Conley Payne of Elkins.

Brenda Mae Lunsford
Brenda Mae Lunsford, 72 of Bolair, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022 at her residence. She was born May 10, 1950 in Webster Springs, the daughter of the late Dave and Mamie Woods of Kingfisher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jim Lunsford; son-in-law Dave Clutter, and brother-in-law Mike Miller.
After retiring from Ford Motor Company, Brenda and Jim traveled with the carnival for 9 years before settling into their home in Bolair, where Brenda enjoyed competing with Mike Collins for best kept yard until her health let Mike win. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Brenda was a beloved member of the community.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, James “Speed” Lunsford of Bolair; Angi (Jack) Boggs of Mount Nebo; grandchildren, Jymi (Clinton) Cutlip of Webster Springs, Whitley Cogar (fiancé Leonard Rule) of Webster Springs, Chelsi Lunsford (fiancé Andy Canada) of Webster springs, James Lunsford (companion Paige Smith) of Bolair and mother Katrina Lunsford; Jake (Chasey) Boggs of Richwood, and Jordan Boggs of Canvas; siblings, Arthur (Bendeta) Woods of Webster Springs; Junior (Mary) Woods of Medina, OH, and Linda Miller of Bolair; six grandkids; 12 great-grandkids; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Belinda Lea Burroughs
Belinda Lea Burroughs, 53, of Heaters passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at WVU Medicine Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
She was born March 22, 1969 in Gassaway to Terry Lee and Theda Estelle Parsons Bly of Gassaway.
Belinda was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Lee Bly.
A 1987 graduate of Braxton County High School, Belinda went on to be an accountant. She was employed by Charles E. Smith and Company for 12 years and then went on to work for Mid-State Marina for 10 years. She was a master seamstress in sewing and embroidery. ATV riding with her husband and family was one of her favorite pastimes. Belinda was a daily bible reader and enjoyed listening to podcasts that shared the gospel. She was a Baptist and a Christian by faith. She also enjoyed boating and swimming at Sutton Lake. Her and her husband had a garden and she canned from her harvest. You could find her doing 1000+ piece puzzles at her home. She also enjoyed online games, especially Hay Day. She loved spending time with her family and her presence will truly be missed in their lives.
In addition to her parents she is survived by husband, Chris Burroughs, of Heaters; sister, Meredith Hoover (Frank) of Gassaway; and nieces, Courtney Prescott (Matthew) and Britney Hoover (Erik). She is also survived by her great niece, Frances Hoover and great nephew, Erik Solis; brothers-in-law, Rick Burroughs (Lois) and Bill Burroughs; and sister-in-law, Katy Murray (Bill) and several nieces and nephews.
Belinda’s graveside service will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Burroughs Cemetery, Heaters with Pastor Rodney England officiating.

John Franklin Myles
John Franklin Myles, 86, of Sutton, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Lewis A. Johnson VA Hospital, Bridgeport.
He was born November 30, 1935 in Erbacon, WV, the son of the late Ralph & Mamie Rose Miles. He is also preceded in death by his son, Troy Myles; daughters, Diane Lane, Donna White; brothers, Doy, Herbert, Jr. & Jearald Miles; sisters, Waneta, Wanda, Wilma.
Frank worked as a Coal Miner and also was a Contractor. He served his country as a Army Veteran and was a member of Stump Chapel Baptist Church, Tesla, where he served as a Trustee at the church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Holcomb Myles; grandchildren, Lori Stover Williams, Brandi Huffman, Scott Lane, Serina Myles, Michael Gibson; great grandchildren, Troy Stover, Cameron Huffman, Caylee Huffman, Aiden Wright, Ali Wright, Landon Wright, Coen Lane; brother, Jack Miles of Cottle, WV; sisters, Ruth Toler of Flatwoods, Wilda Evans of Akron, OH.
Upon Frank’s request the body will be cremated and there will be no service.

Barbara Lynn Prince
A Celebration of Life/Memorial for Barbara Lynn Prince will be held on 10 September at the Prince Family Graveyard in Lakelane, Heaters, WV at 12 noon followed by some light refreshments on the farm. As announced last fall Lynn passed away peacefully in her sleep after a short illness. Please join her sisters, Kim and Janet as well as her nephew Christopher, Great niece Pandora and Great Great Niece we spread ashes on dads grave.
Barbara Lynn Prince of Conroe, Texas was born in Gassaway, WV on December 19, 1957 and passed away on October 12, 2021. She was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Martin, mother Dolores Ann Heater Prince Respess, father Oley Maxel Prince and grandparents John & Beula Heater and Oscar & Mertie Prince.
She was survived by her husband Randy Smick, sisters Kimberly (Prince) Boss, Jill (Prince) Gaffney and Janet (Prince) DeVoe, daughter Zoe Paige Hansen, Uncle Danny Heater, Aunt Carol Heater, granddaughter Abby Martin, grandson Axl Martin as well as many nephews and nieces.
Lynn was a 1975 graduate of BCHS. She had a thirst for knowledge and obtained her Bachelors degree in business and loved being a student in nature. She is also an Army veteran serving four years in the service in Germany.
