WV Bigfoot Festival thank you

On Friday June 24th and Saturday June 25th, the second annual West Virginia Bigfoot Festival was held in Downtown Sutton.
This year’s festival was the biggest event yet, with a rough estimate of 5,000 guests over the course of two days. The festival had a massive positive response and a lot of people are excited to come back next year.
Laurel Petolicchio, David Petolicchio, Janet Six, and Les O’Dell organized the event but it wouldn’t have been possible without the extensive efforts of contractor Joe Gates and the event staff. The committee would like to thank the following: Andrew Hall, Debra M. High, JT Stokley, Virginia Nissly, Louis Petolicchio, Sarah Petolicchio, Arlene Bauman, Kristen Gates, Chris Tucker, Robin Smith, Isaiah Kerstetter, Dawn Sharp, Terry Freas, Andy Singer, Rob Jay, and everyone else that helped with the raffle, greeting, parking, and security.
They would like to say thank you to both Shane Boggs for helping to promote the Sutton Police Department as well as the Sutton Fire Department for helping to close the streets and providing a space for musicians.
The festival committee is very thankful for all 85 vendors that they hosted, all of the food trucks that attended, and would also like to include a thank you to the Sutton Public Library, Sutton Baptist Church, Sutton 4H, Judy’s Garden Club, and the Strumalongs for representing the local community during the festival.
A special thank you needs to go out to the sponsors of this year’s event: S&S Home Improvements (Joe Gates), Skidmore Development-Days Inn & Suites, Braxton CVB and Mountain Laurel Country Store.
The WV Bigfoot Festival is thankful to God for allowing this event to run smoothly, for a safe weekend, and for allowing them the privilege of promoting Sutton, not only to West Virginia, but to the rest of the United States as well!
