Rotary Elimination Dinner returns to in-person event

The Braxton County Rotary Club in is the final days of preparing for their annual Elimination Dinner. “We are extremely pleased to be returning to an in-person event this year after COVID forced us to hold our principal fund-raiser virtually for the past two years,” said Club President Ed Given. “We are looking forward to a great evening of socialization, fun and prizes.”

This year’s event will be held on June 11 in the Braxton County High School. “We developed such a great relationship with Eric Campbell and his team at Braxton Live we will be adding a live broadcast in addition to the in-person attendance, for those who are unable to attend,” explained Given.

The Rotary Elimination Dinner is the principal fund-raiding event for the local club which has awarded over $200,000 in scholarships to BCHS graduates. This year twelve deserving recipients will receive $1,000 each to help further their college education.

Coordinators are still excepting items to be auctioned off. Any and all donations are appreciated. Anyone wishing more information should contact the club president at 304-765-5193.
