Joseph Johnson Chosen BCHS’s DAR Good Citizen

Joseph “Joey” Johnson was selected by his school to receive the DAR Good Citizen Award. Elk River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution member, Charlene Lewis presented Joey with a certificate and pin at the recent Awards Day for seniors at Braxton County High School.
The DAR motto is God, Home and Country. The goals are Patriotism, Education and Historic Preservation.
The recipient of the DAR Good Citizen Award demonstrates the qualities of a good citizen in school and in the community. The student must demonstrate dependability (honesty & punctuality), service (cooperation, helpfulness & responsibility), leadership (self-control & initiative) and patriotism (unselfish loyalty to American ideals). Joey exhibits these attributes.
Joseph Michael Johnson is the son of Shawn Johnson of Sutton.
