WVU Medicine Braxton County Memorial Hospital (BCMH) and WVU Medicine Summersville Regional Medical Center (SRMC) announced April 19 the appointment of Caleb Hanna as the new director of public relations for the two facilities.
“Caleb will be actively working in our communities to maintain, improve, and build positive relationships with other businesses, organizations and the people we serve,” Louis G. Roe, Jr., president and CEO of the Summersville and Braxton County facilities, said. “I believe he will be instrumental to our plan to further involve ourselves within our communities. I am very excited to have Caleb on board.”
Hanna, a native of Nicholas County, and a Richwood High School alum, now serves as a state representative in the W.Va. House of Delegates and is the co-founder and senior vice president of Run GenZ, a 501(c)(4) that encourages and assists potential candidates across the country get on their state’s ballot, and educates them on operating a campaign.
Caleb comes to BCMC and SRMC with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from West Virginia State University. In 2018, he was elected to the WV House of Delegates at 19 years old becoming the youngest legislator in America (2018-20), and the youngest African American ever elected to a State Office in US History. He continues to serve as a representative for the WV House of Delegates. He has been and will continue to be involved with a variety of boards, committees, and teams to benefit the people of Mountain State.
