County OES Director Speaks to BCHS Criminal Justice students

Braxton County High School’s Criminal Justice cluster recently entertained a special guest speaker. Lee Given, instructor of the Law and Public Safety classes solicited John Hoffman, Braxton County Office of Emergency Services Director, come and speak to students about the state and counties professional opportunities as well as the dramatic shortage of area first responders.
Following the presentation, Jackie “Austin” Fleming felt he could make a difference and joined the Flatwoods Volunteer Fire Department where he hopes to contribute to his neighborhood and fellow man.
