Braxton Students Graduate from Glenville University

Seven Braxton County students have received their degrees from Glenville State College, now Glenville State University, as members of the Winter 2021 graduating class.
Richard “Jack” Boyce of Sutton graduated with an Associate in Arts degree in General Studies as a part of Glenville State’s Milestone Initiative.
Kourtney Davis of Sutton graduated with an Associate in Arts degree in General Studies as part of Glenville State’s Milestone Initiative.
Cody Dobbins of Gassaway graduated with an Associate in Arts degree in General Studies as part of Glenville State’s Milestone Initiative.
Raven Friend of Exchange graduated Summa Cum Laude with an Associate in Arts degree in General Studies as part of Glenville State’s Milestone Initiative.
Daniel Hoard of Gassaway graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Management with a major in Forest Technology.
Jessica Smarr of Sutton graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Education degree in Early Education (PreK-K), Elementary Education (K-6), and Multi-categorical Special Education (K-6).
Andrea Vidal of Sutton graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Science and a minor in Behavior Disorders.
The Milestone Initiative at Glenville State signifies the important academic accomplishment of students who are working toward a bachelor’s degree.
Founded in 1872, Glenville State University is a public liberal arts university located in Glenville, West Virginia. The institution offers a variety of traditional and online degree programs and several NCAA Division II athletic teams. GSU is celebrating 150 years in 2022.
